Baked Beans with Collard Greens


I am deeply grateful for having the gift of creating dishes that are healthy and very tasty. This last week I made for the first time these easy baked beans with collard greens. They were absolutely delicious. So I thought it would be nice to share with you my recipe for this dish and I sure hope you all enjoy it.

You will need:

1 can of pinto beans
1 can of kidney beans
1 can of collard greens
(drain and rinse well the 3 top cans)

1 can of diced tomatoes
(drain the juice into a glass)

1 c. brown sugar
3 T. yellow mustard
1/2 c. ketchup
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
2 t. maple syrup

 Mix well all the dry ingredients, then add all the other ingredients to it, then ad the juice of the tomatoes...taste to see if the flavor is pleasing to you, if not add some extra salt, garlic powder &  brown sugar (some people like their baked beans with more flavor or sweetness)...mix all the ingredients well and then place the beans in a baking pan, cover the pan with foil and place it in the oven for 30 minutes at 375. Then uncover and bake for another 20 minutes or until the juice evaporates a bit and it is creamy...enjoy.
